NeuLaw Applications

The NeuLaw. Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) governs your use of the NeuLaw’s website located at www.NeuLaw.org and related websites (the “NeuLaw Site”) which are operated by NeuLaw (“NeuLaw”) and/or any of NeuLaw’s affiliates. This Policy does not apply to ideas, concepts, suggestions or inventions that you send to via email to NeuLaw. Please do not send such correspondence to NeuLaw if your intent is to keep such matters private.

The NeuLaw Site may occasionally provide links to other websites owned and/or operated by third parties. NeuLaw shall not be responsible for the operation of such other sites, including such other site’s privacy practices or lack thereof. When visiting any such third party site you should review the privacy statements/policies of each site which you end up visiting through your use of the NeuLaw Site.

Registration and access to services

Although many aspects of the NeuLaw Site are available without having to register, some of the content and functionality of the NeuLaw Site require you to register. If you register on the NeuLaw Site to gain access to other content or functionality on the NeuLaw Site, you will be required to submit information which could be used to personally identify you (“Personally Identifiable Information”).

Information we collect about you

When you register on the NeuLaw Site (or update/change your user profile) NeuLaw collects Personally Identifiable Information about you. NeuLaw utilizes this Personally Identifiable Information to provide you with content that you may request, send emails to you regarding questions about the NeuLaw Site, and to inform you of significant changes to this Policy.

Use of the NeuLaw site by children

NeuLaw believes that protecting the privacy of children is important. Although the content on the NeuLaw Site may be used by a parent or guardian of a child under the age of eleven to benefit such a child, neither NeuLaw nor any of its services are designed or intended for children under the age of 11.

NeuLaw’s disclosure of your Information

Except as set forth in this Policy or as specifically agreed to by you, NeuLaw will not disclose any Personally Identifiable Information gathered from you on the NeuLaw Site. You agree that NeuLaw may release Personally Identifiable Information: (1) to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) in response to defend or assert legal rights. In the event that NeuLaw is legally compelled to disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to a third party, NeuLaw will attempt to notify you unless doing so would violate the law or court order. In addition, we may disclose Personally Identifiable Information as described below.

NeuLaw’s programming and service providers may have or be granted from time-to-time limited access to your Personally Identifiable Information in the course of providing services to NeuLaw in support of the NeuLaw Site and/or Assessment. Such third party providers may include vendors and suppliers that provide NeuLaw with technology, services, and/or content for the operation and maintenance of the NeuLaw Site. These contractors also may have access to your email address to notifications to you on our behalf. Access to your Personally Identifiable Information by these contractors is limited to the information reasonably necessary for the contractor to perform its limited function for NeuLaw. NeuLaw requires all third party service providers to execute binding agreements in which the third party agrees to: (1) protect the privacy of your Personally Identifiable Information consistent with this Policy, and (2) not use or disclose your Personally Identifiable Information for any purpose other than providing NeuLaw with products and services as required by law.

NeuLaw may also De Identify your Personally Identifiable Information, along with the all or some of the other users of the NeuLaw Site for research purposes. (the “Aggregated Data”). NeuLaw may desire to use the Aggregated Data in an effort to discover certain trends in readership, certain aspects of the NeuLaw Site which require refinement, etc. NeuLaw may also use the Aggregated Data to provide third parties with information on user patterns such as the time users spend on a certain portion of the NeuLaw Site, etc. NeuLaw may receive compensation from such third parties for their use of such information. NeuLaw requires parties who receive Aggregated Data to agree that they will not attempt to make this information personally identifiable, such as by combining it with other databases.

NeuLaw’s ability to change the policy

NeuLaw reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to amend this Policy from time-to-time. In the event such an amendment constitutes a “material” change (as defined below) in the collection and/or aggregation of Personally Identifiable Information, NeuLaw will notify you in advance of such proposed change and will provide you with an ability to “opt-out” of your registration on the NeuLaw Site. For purposes of this Policy, “material” means a change which expands the NeuLaw’s ability to collect, use or disclose, Personally Identifiable Information. If, following NeuLaw’s adoption of a material change, you continue to use the NeuLaw Site, such continued use will constitute your acceptance of such material change(s). If you decide that any of the material changes are not acceptable to you then you should immediately stop using the NeuLaw Site.
